The internet has democratized information that allows us to do virtually anything. In an attempt to navigate the plethora of online information about franchising, John Gatewood turned to Franchise Match, an online tool powered by The Entrepreneur’s Source®, to help him discover the American dream.

FranchiseMatch.com® is a simple, online “find your franchise” tool. By answering a few questions, it helps compare best-fit opportunities that will match your Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity™ goals. Franchise Match is a comprehensive, hands-on, step-by-step discovery program that will uncover the best business opportunities that will move you from Employment to Empowerment® and take you from where you are now to where you ultimately want to be.

Franchise Match also connects people who are at a crossroads in their career with trained Career Ownership Coaches™ who can help them discover the possibilities and find self-sufficiency and financial freedom. After using Franchise Match, Gatewood was connected with Patricia McGraw, a TES coach from Florida. With McGraw, Gatewood did the hard work to help determine his new path.

New Coach Helps Clients Discover #Entrepreneurship

When a commute home from the office took four hours one evening, McGraw knew it was time to make a change. She started her discovery process with The Entrepreneur’s Source and quickly learned coaching was a good fit. “For the first time, I felt like somebody was listening and understanding my goals and expectations for the future and helping me create a roadmap to follow,” McGraw said. “I always had a passion for helping people. While I was going through the coaching process, I liked what he was doing. I didn’t know it was a business before. I just had a good feeling about coaching.”

The Entrepreneur’s Source helped McGraw come to a clarity about her future. Franchising was a great option because it allowed her to be in business for herself but not by herself. It gave her the option to cut her commute and operate a portable business that would be flexible. The Entrepreneur’s Source offered McGraw the tools, training and support she needed to build a successful coaching business. “They helped clear the path by asking me the right questions. I had the answers, but my coach helped me come to clarity about my future.”

Corporate Executive Answers Questions to Learn #CareerGoals

Before striking out on a new path, Gatewood spent his career working in the corporate office of UPS in operations. While he was successful during his tenure at UPS, the corporate culture changed him. McGraw and Gatewood worked together to help him understand his IWLE goals and find a business that would allow him to flourish by being his authentic self. “Patricia [McGraw] knows what is important. She focuses on the needs of her candidates and knows what she needs to do to get the most out of them. She listens extremely well and builds their self-esteem. That’s rare,” Gatewood said.

Working with McGraw helped Gatewood discover he wanted to operate a business that allowed him to work from home and help people. As his own boss, Gatewood is able to use the leadership tools he honed at UPS to help people pursue their goals. Gatewood opted to start a branch of Patrice & Associates, the largest hospitality recruitment brand in North America. Gatewood helps restaurant and hotel managers find the right fit. He opened his home office doors in Pinehurst, Texas this spring as the restaurant and hospitality industry started ramping up after a tumultuous year. His territory north of Houston is booming, as corporations like Hewlett Packard Enterprises relocate to Texas to cut costs and provide their employees with a better lifestyle.
