Go For Broke Day in Pursuit of the American Dream
The Entrepreneur’s Source® is urging everyone to go all out in their pursuit of the American Dream.
National Go For Broke Day is celebrated annually on April 5 and marks a day on the calendar to double down on efforts to pursue Career Ownership™, despite obstacles that may be in your path. As the economy continues to recover, and Americans see a light at the end of the tunnel, many are taking time to reevaluate their careers and find new paths to financial security. Americans are tired of suffering from Battered Career Syndrome®. Individuals who suffer from Battered Career Syndrome™ are exhausted from climbing the corporate ladder and feeling beaten down by working at a job that offers little to no job security and high employee turnover.
While the past year created challenges for many hard-working Americans, it also gave them a chance to find the work-life balance they craved. Teleworking allowed many people with corporate jobs to cut their commutes and add more hours to the day. One in four Americans said the pandemic led them to consider a job or career change, according to an online survey of 5,000 people by Morneau Shepell, a provider of human resources services.
