The Entrepreneur’s Source: Looking Toward the Future
Looking Toward the Future Q&A Series With Mary Pang. Helping people discover self-sufficiency and achieve entrepreneurship is what sets The Entrepreneur’s Source apart. Mary Pang can’t imagine a better environment to work in than one that is founded on helping people embark on their own journey of self-sufficiency.
Pang was at a crossroads in her life when The Entrepreneur’s Source first appeared on her radar. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, but she did know what she was good at: “I have always been very strong at developing relationships. I like connecting with people and learning their stories… it’s what makes me tick. Building relationships has always come naturally to me, and I find getting to know people very invigorating and motivating.”
With The Entrepreneur’s Source, Mary found a place that recognizes and utilizes her unique abilities and was founded on the driving principle of connecting with and helping people explore their possibilities in a safe space. For Mary, it was a perfect fit.
“The beauty of The Entrepreneur’s Source is that we are in the ‘business of possibilities.’ People are attracted to us because they’re searching for something different in their lives but aren’t exactly sure what. They’ve always had an entrepreneurial itch but just haven’t had the resources, confidence, or know-how to explore it. We provide that to them. Being a part of that is what I love about my job.”
She works now as a Strategic Partner, a position that seems tailor-made for her and is very symbolic of the philosophy that permeates The Entrepreneur’s Source. As a Strategic Partner, Pang helps “fill in the missing blanks.” The Strategic Resource Program was formed to add value to coaches and their clients and to TES Franchisor members. The program was created to identify needs that growing franchisors or new franchisees might encounter and provide a solution.
“We’re determined that these companies do more than just provide a service. They must also be able to deliver a valuable solution as well as a high level of service to our members and clients. They go above and beyond for our clients and members,” explains Pang. “Our coaches can feel confident referring them to their clients. We are proud to work together with them. Our Resource Program members help fill in the blanks for people who need help in specific areas of their business.”
“One of our clients fell in love with a brand, but understood that she would need to have employees to be successful. She was concerned with some of the responsibilities and requirements that go along with having employees,” Pang remembers. “But when we introduced her to one of our Program members, she realized she didn’t necessarily have to fill that role herself and was able to move forward with a brand she loved.”
“It allows new franchisees and growing franchisors to focus on their areas of strength. We help them in their growth and provide value,” Pang says. “It’s a great feeling to be able to add that next level of service and value and quality.”
Pang is very passionate about entrepreneurship. “Entrepreneurs are people who aren’t satisfied with the status quo, either in their own lives or in the world around them — and are courageous enough to invest in themselves and make it happen. I love being a part of an entrepreneurially-minded company that empowers people to break away from the norm and create their own solutions.”
Help. It’s not about choosing for you — it’s about helping you define for yourself your income, lifestyle, wealth, and equity goals, and provide you with ways to achieve them. It’s one of the things Mary Pang loves most about her job. “I get to work on all sides of the fence — sometimes with our Coaches and their clients and sometimes with our franchisors and resource program members. I get to provide value and help everyone, and also learn about everyone’s stories and build relationships along the way.”
