The Entrepreneur’s Source Terry Powell Featured in Franchising USA

The Entrepreneur’s Source Terry Powell had a byline article published in Franchising USA titled, “Is Your Corporate Structure Stifling Your Franchise?” Within the article, Powell speaks about the idea that just because a hierarchical structure of employees is the norm within the business sector, it may not be the right employee model for the franchising industry or in the best interest of the franchise itself.

“How is a mutually beneficial and interdependent relationship created when there’s a clear pecking order?” The Entrepreneur’s Source Terry Powell asks. “Too frequently, success brings on a whole host of stifling issues that threaten both your ability to maintain your best talent and continue on a path of positive growth.”

What’s Powell’s solution to this hierarchical structure? He suggests instead creating high performance entrepreneurial culture within a franchise. To achieve this, he advises franchisees to build a unique abilities team, encourage ownership attitude, maintain win-win relationships and reclaim the entrepreneurial culture.
