The Entrepreneur’s Source Celebrates Small Business Saturday

The Entrepreneur’s Source Celebrates Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday was designed to celebrate and support independent business owners. Because this day of recognition is routinely held during the holiday season, most people think of it as an opportunity to purchase gifts and goods from locally-owned shops. Of course, not every business owner sells products that can be gift-wrapped. From fitness to education to marketing, many independent business owners sell services instead.
At The Entrepreneur’s Source® (TES), North America’s leading alternative career coaching franchise, we are fortunate to work with a number of potential and new business owners as they strive to achieve their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity™ dreams. As such, we think that Small Business Saturday is an opportunity to highlight service-based business owners too, and we are excited to salute the following TES-placed business owners:
Jonathan Seitz
More than two years ago, Jonathan Seitz approached coach Julian Reid to explore alternative professional paths, which led him to Crestcom. Crestcom offers in-person management, leadership and sales training programs, which were an ideal fit for him based on his skills and interest inventories. Having found a professional path that offers fulfillment, Jonathan is a true example of small business owner success. He has recently launched his sixth unit franchise in seven months and was awarded the annual Crestcom President’s Award.
David Tabb
Millennials are the up-and-coming business owners of our workforce, bringing new skills to the table and exploring alternative ways to align work/life goals. David Tabb offers an excellent example of this. He recently worked with coach Joe Barone to franchise Welcomemat Services through which he helps local businesses connect with homeowners who are new to the area. Since July 2012, David has become a tremendous business and community leader in South Florida. His Welcomemat accolades range from Rookie of the Year, Trainer of the Year, Franchisee of the Year Runner Up, and the Welcomemat Falcon award for his year-over-year growth, and he continues to expand upon these initial successes.
Michelle and Lawrence Smith
Some people dream of controlling their own destiny but aren’t sure how to make it happen. Lawrence and Michelle were one such couple. Despite being on separate continents throughout the planning process, they leveraged the coaching support of Nancy Norton and dove into opening 9Round in 2014. Today, their kickboxing and fitness franchise is thriving. They are already entertaining the idea of expansion and are excited to involve their children in creating a true family-owned business.
There are many paths to small business ownership and each person who pursues the dream should be celebrated for their hard work and accomplishments. As we approach Small Business Saturday, we hope that you’ll take time to investigate small businesses of all shape and sizes. Who knows — you may just stumble on one that empowers you to shift your career path and achieve your lifestyle dreams too.
