To celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, The Entrepreneur’s Source® is counting its blessings while it admires the drive of American business owners.

Happy Thanksgiving!

While it has been a challenging year, The Entrepreneur’s Source® is grateful for the lessons we are learning and the value of the strong American spirit. We are thankful for our family, co-workers, friends and franchise community. We salute our frontline workers who diligently show up to work each day to keep us safe and help our children learn. The Entrepreneur’s Source® is thankful for the essential role every worker plays to keep our communities vibrant and strong.

“Happy Thanksgiving to our friends and family in the franchise community. This year has sent us many challenges, but I remain optimistic for the future of franchising and I am blessed to work with others to realize their career goals,” said Terry Powell, visionary founder of The Entrepreneur’s Source®.

While it has been a tumultuous year, the global pandemic sent the economy into a tailspin and shuttered many businesses. Large and small companies were forced to apply for the CARES Act, a $2 trillion economic relief package, to pay employees, and many had to cut or furlough staff to stay afloat.

The uncertainty of the pandemic led business of all sizes to turn to alternative services to generate sales. Car dealerships implemented online shopping and mobile repair services, gyms set up outdoor exercise classes in parks or parking lots, and grocery stores ramped up curbside grocery delivery.

While closures for many businesses remained brief, reopening required implementing a host of new policies and procedures to keep employees and customers safe. The Centers for Disease Control offered guidelines for reopening that limited capacity, and many businesses had to reduce their hours to allow for extra cleaning time. A large number of businesses implemented mask mandates for employees and customers to continue to help flatten the curve.

“This year left many feeling battered and bruised. Being forced to temporarily sit on the sidelines goes against the drive and determination of the ,” said Powell.  “We are grateful for our entrepreneurs in the franchise community who are helping rebuild our economy and putting hardworking Americans back to work.”
