E-Source Says
Blaze a trail to a better future. Coaching from The Entrepreneur’s Source® sparked a transformation in a former call center executive, propelling him to ignite a career revolution to attain financial freedom.
Mitch Wilson spent his career climbing the corporate ladder in contact center management. For the last 15 years, he held executive-level roles spearheading operations at a financial contact services center. He joined the ranks of people searching for new opportunities when the company had a reorganization and downsized his position. Searching for a new job proved to be a frustrating experience for the hardworking leader.
“My age, experience, and probably, my salary requirements were difficult for people to meet. I was also disappointed a company would sever ties with me and disillusioned about the corporate experience,” he said.
Coaching Helps Discover a New Way
During his career transition, he crossed paths with Anna Brambilla, a Career Ownership Coach™ for The Entrepreneur’s Source, a prominent career coaching business. The Entrepreneur’s Source utilizes educational tools to assist individuals at a crossroads in their careers by evaluating options. We help people determine if they want to pursue another corporate job, embark on a new business venture, or collaborate with an established brand to embrace entrepreneurship.
Brambilla launched her coaching business six years ago after a long career in the career transitions industry. Her experience in outplacement and job search coaching gives her insight into the challenges seasoned workers face in finding jobs that meet their skill level and income requirements. At least 11% of professionals in human resources agree that “older employees are not always treated as fairly as younger employees,” and nearly one in five received reports of perceived ageism, according to a recent survey of 1,045 HR professionals conducted by the Society for Human Resources Management.
“He felt that the job market was tough and a lot of senior executives were looking for jobs. Mitch was struggling because he didn’t want to be dependent on other people’s personalities and whims. What he wanted was to be his own boss,” Brambilla said.
During the coaching process, Brambilla helped him explore his options, possibilities, and dreams. She guided him as he established his Income, Lifestyle, Wealth, and Equity™ goals. She acted as a source of guidance and support, holding Wilson accountable for his dreams and helping him attain self-sufficiency By relying on education, awareness, and discovery, Brambilla eliminated his concerns about charting his own course.
Wilson had toyed with the idea of launching his own call center business. He knew he had the skills to run a call center, but his knowledge of marketing, licensing, and legal issues was limited.
Rather than start a business from scratch, Wilson turned to a trusted brand name to begin his entrepreneurial journey. Neighborly is a leader in home services solutions and has 20 brands, including Window Genie, Molly Maid, Mosquito Joe, and Mr. Handyman. Wilson admired Neighborly’s structured business processes and support system. This summer, he introduced Utah County to Window Genie, which specializes in window cleaning, tinting, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, and more. The Window Genie business model allows him to concentrate on growing the company’s customer base and has employees who serve customers.
“Anna continued to provide support after I selected my business. She gave me information, answered questions, and connected me with resources as I got my business started,” Wilson said. “She was an asset, and I didn’t feel like there was any pressure to decide the coaching journey.”
